HOUSES of HOPE
CHILD's Trust have pioneered the House of Hope model, currently supporting 3 couples, raising complete orphans in their own family setting. The first House of Hope opened in 2006. The House of Hope becomes the orphan's home, with new parents, brothers and sisters. They are cared for, loved and educated, giving each child a stable upbringing and providing a life-long family after the tragedy of losing their own parents. This is a costly and long-term commitment. Each child in a House of Hope has a UK-based sponsor that contributes towards an income for each House of Hope.
CHILD's Trust has been supporting established schools since it began. This is by sponsoring the very poorest local children, providing their uniform and school related costs to enable them to gain an education. This can be the start of raising their family out of poverty, giving them a hope and a future.
